Garfield County Adds Another Little Free Library

Little Free Library located at the Loup Rivers Scenic Byway, 330 South Hwy 11, Burwell, Nebraska.

June 8, 2021, Burwell, Nebraska. Little Free Libraries are a global phenomenon. The small, front-yard book exchanges number more than 100,000 around the world in over 100 countries. Now, a new Little Free Library located at the Loup Rivers Scenic Byway one-room schoolhouse will join the movement to share books, bring people together and create communities of readers.

“Burwell now has 2 chartered Little Free Libraries. One is located at the old Carnegie Library and the other is at the Loup Rivers Scenic Byway Interpretive Center, 330 South Hwy 11. Community members are encouraged to check out the selection of books. Remember, there is no charge for the books and do not need to be returned.” stated Susan Goochey, Community Correspondent, of the Loup Rivers Scenic Byway.

Little Free Library is a non-profit organization that inspires a love of reading, builds community and improves book access by fostering neighborhood book-exchange boxes around the world.  For more information about Little Free Libraries of the Loup Rivers Scenic Byway, visit https://loupriversscenicbyway.org/ and like the Loup Rivers Scenic Byway on Facebook #LittleFreeLibraries
